I work on it, however, have not found yet the suitable Freewaretool. Only one 60 days of Trialversion of ESRI, one must register themselves there and then gets after 14 days a CD by post.

Be less agressive, please... I know enough about history of that city. If you had a look at INGAME map you`d see what I was talking about.

bigboywooly is right...

It seems that my English sucks badly...

What I meant was:

Wrong: Nordmeer, St. Petersburg etc
Right: Nordsee, Leningrad etc

The SH5 shp files contains no data in ESRI shp format otherwise they could be loaded and edited with freeware GIS like GRASS or Spatial Commander.

But it should also work in this way:

- open *.shp file with text editor and copy only the xyz data into a new file
- separated the x y z data by commas, and save the file as a *. csv
- use a vector graphics program that can read XYZ data from a CSV file to import the vectors
- edit the vectors and export to ascii file
- remove the separator and copy back the data into the *.shp file

OK, is an attempt worth, I will test this with a file, but you already know, what an expenditure this is ?
