You can install RA next to Lwami.
Nobody play serious MP sessions with LwAmi - this mod is almost dead. Also some "features" of LwAmi aren't realistic like very strong broadband.

RA FOR MULTIPLAYER
+ very good enviroment (for example layer, bottom, ice etc.)
+ outstanding settings for weapon
+ very good weapon control
+ modification of TiW messages
+ rich ocean fauna
+ new sensors (photonics masts, laser)
+ many playable units
+ still developed
+ very good for designers "West vs East" type scenario
+ good manual for weapon
+ community
+ AI subs can attack passive and active torpedoes
+ AI sub can use own active sonar for detection

- longer HF sonar for "russian subs" than written in USNI reference
- narrowband is main sonar mode (but this is realistic)
- manual for weapon - have to read this because weapon settings are different than in vanilla

LWAMI FOR MULTIPLAYER
+ nice looking broadband (like in holywood movies)
+ some fleets have lots of units (for example Iran)
+ good "layer"
+ better for single player mission designers (more small surf and air units, more countries)

- too long range of detection for sonobuoys
- lack of playable units
- painfull for balancing MP missions because lack of units for both sides
- nobody play MP with LwAmi
- dead over 5 years
- AI subs use only active sonar torpedoes with both active/passive homing
