What am I missing? I don't see two wheels with a narrow track on the Marmon.

Hmmm, perhaps the motor is for training and the quickness refers to rate of fire. Hmmm...

those OP tires treads sure look like the ones on the ground in the Vickers 40 mm pics when the towed gun is set up in firing place with the wheels removed

and the three man crew at the ready...

and there's the Aussie variant with truck mounted two pounder, again with weapon's wheels stored in trays

Towed is the key word there because it has a motor and is relatively fast according to the clues. That's why I pondered if the motor was for directed fire control and the relatively fast was for fire rate. I confess I'm getting nowhere on this one.

Dragon MK 4 carrier with (40mm) SPAAG (self-propelled anti-aircraft gun) for Siam; they had 26 0f them- certainly "far from the land of the Brits" ie: Vickers QF-1 "Pom-Pom" gun of 40 mm. About 26 were sold to Siam and saw action as infantry support guns and AA guns during the Franco-Thai war (1940-1941)

Not sure what you a referring to and a google search for "hybrid vehicle" of course shows all kinds of modern cars with additional electric engines.

Another clue (and maybe a description of a "hybrid"): It has wheels and tracks, but these are not used simultaneously. That is why it has a "fast mode" on the road and a "not so fast mode" off-road.
