Okay, let's nip this in the bud right now. This thread is about hunting down surviving submarines. It's not about anyone's personal agenda or political beliefs. Let's keep it on course.

The post is about the emotion felt standing inside a german submarine more specifically the U995 the reason being that nearly 30,000 people died in U Boats that were identical.

The journal entry is to show the emotion and feeling of someone who has no connection with the german submarine corps and is a foreigner to the land.
There would be uproar if i started to say Hitler was correct and should have won the war unfortunately there are people on both sides that do believe he should have in this day and age!

Im not detracting from the bravery shown by all sides nor am i blinkered to the fact crimes on both sides were committed, the line is a "typical" response line used mainly in the media.

but this post was to show the mission that i and my friend had set ourselves and as you can clearly see we went above and beyond and exceeded ourselves in the completion.

it is currenly in bits and you cant go inside from what ive ben told to be honest your beter off going to germany to see U995
the best two boats around is Chatham in Kent HMS Ocelot oberon class submarine and HMS Alliance at the submarine museum which is just across te water in gosport from portsmouth again worth the visit.
