I found it quite interesting given the fact that I've never heard of this attempt to reach the North Pole. I had always thought that had with the advent of nuclear submarines and in defense of Sir Hubert I would have hardly called his expedition to the North Pole disastrous since he and his crew returned to Bergen alive (although maybe a little frostbitten?), and the tribute to Sir Hubert was quite fitting indeed.
