Default Sailor Steve's SH4 Water

These are three little files I cooked up for my own use, because I don't like being able to see my sub below about 20 meters. They change the transparency of the water when looking down from above, and the distance you can see underwater, which is about half the length of the boat.

Note: These file change nothing but the transparency. To get the proper colors you need to install the OM_Med_Env or OM_Pac_Env first. Environmental color changes were created by Lurker for Operation Monsun.

Atlantic Periscope Depth

The Mediterranean is a bit clearer.

Awesome, thanks Steve!

By the way, did you do anything with the underwater transparency (as in, what you see from underwater)? That part I also tend to adjust on my own to fairly low values...

[edit] Nevermind, it's right there in the description. It's exactly the setting that I had it at for underwater. Great job with this!

I appreciate the kind words, but the truth is that somebody (I forget who) showed me how to adjust that Water Clarity parameter (and now I forget how) and I fiddled with it until it looked good to me. No talent, no skills, just a little effort.

After I get moved into my new place I'm planning to start trying to learn a lot of things, but we'll see how it goes.

Hello Steve! Thank you for this mod. I use OM+OMEGU, but neither OM_Med_Env nor OM_Pac_Env Mod.

I´m sorry for (maybe) stupid question, but if I want to sail only in Atlantic (not in Pacific or Med. theatre), I have too to activate OM_Med_Env or OM_Pac_Env first?

Or in this case just your mod after OM and OMEGU (without OM_Med_Env and OM_Pac_Env Mod)?

The Atlantic is the default ocean in OM and OMEGU, so you should be fine just using my Atlantic Water. You only need to activate the other oceans if you're going to work in those oceans, and you should only do one at a time - they don't mix.
