FOTRSU 1.1 - More Campaign Traffic
Download here: https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/dow...o=file&id=5621 Without adding any new groups or units, this mod will increase the traffic frequency during a FOTRSU 1.1 campaign (US side only). Convoys or task forces will have higher chances to materialize in the game and the chances for radio reports will also be increased. This mod package contains 2 folders: FOTRSU_Traffic_and_Contact_Reports_Increased This will increase about 50% the average spawn probability of all important unit groups in the FOTRSU campaign, as well as the radio reports you get periodically from the headquaters. FOTRSU_Traffic_and_Contact_Reports_like_Stock_Game This will increase the traffic and radio report frequency in FOTRSU to approximately play out like in the stock game (50% more compared to the above). This mod doesn't add or change any of the FOTRSU ship units or any other aspects of the main mod, it only does what is said above. Installation Install both folders in JSGME or in the MODS folder of your SH4 game directory, THEN ACTIVATE ONLY 1 OF THESE 2 FOLDERS in JSGME, NOT BOTH AT THE SAME TIME! Use the right arrow in JSGME to activate it, activate after activating FOTRSU 1.1. If you change your mind and want to use the other folder which plays differenty, or after uninstalling the mod, YOU NEED TO START A NEW CAREER in SH4, the savegames generated by the 2 folders are NOT compatible. Deinstallation Deactivate the mod in JSGME, point on the mod and use the left arrow to remove the mod. YOU MUST START A NEW CAREER in SH4, your savegames will NOT be compatible with whatever you play afterwards. Playing tips During game, watch your message box and your radio traffic frequently. Not all reports will be useful to you, but they give you a generic clue about where to look for enemy contacts. if you think you can intercept a contact based on the reports, then use the NavMap to plot a calculated course, but be careful at night in rough seas or in foggy weather: your submarine could suddenly come to very close distance to the enemy which will detect you immediately, better use your hydrophone or radar in bad weather to make the final approach. I change all FOTRSU values to 55 for the 'increased' traffic version and to 75 for 'like stock game' traffic version. Values of 100 were not changed, values in all 'Subhunter' files were not changed. Only values for the main group missions were changed, the single unit values were not changed. Mod History 15.06-2020: First release without version number 27.06.2020: v.2.0 v.2.0 Corrects a mistake with a ship class name that was mistakenly changed during search&replace, and missing changes for some 1-digit probabilities. Please get the update for this mod if you did download the first release of 15.06.2020 named "FOTRSU_1.1_More_Campaign_Traffic.rar". The new update can be found here: https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/dow...o=file&id=5621 The new download file is "FOTRSU_1.1_More_Campaign_Traffic_v.2.0.rar" PLEASE START A NEW CAREER WITH THE UPDATE 2.0, only then the new changes will take effect.
