One of my favorite books being reprinted
Found out a couple of days ago that John Robert's classic "Anatomy of the Ship" book on the HMS Dreadnought was being reprinted in paperback this September. I own 31 books in the AOTS series, but The Battleship Dreadnought has always been one of my favorite. The book is filled with hundreds of technical drawings of the ship, showing details right down to the arrangement of fire mains and steam pipes, the thickness of every shell plate and location of every watertight liner in the hull structure, meticulously detailed cross-sections through the 12 inch turrets...basically a big treasure trove for anybody interested in the ship.
I "loved" my copy so much it was being held together by tape after six years, and was thrilled to find a newish copy on Amazon for $60 a couple months back. I have my doubts about the quality of this upcoming edition ("print on demand" books often look like crap), but I hope it's good simply for those who don't already own a copy. http://www.amazon.com/Battleship-Dre...ip+dreadnought |

Great
Print on demand books don't always look crappy.
I wrote a novel and had it done that way, looked great. Hope you enjoy the book. There's nothing like a treasured book! |
