Default SH2 External View

Just getting back to this program after several years and hard drives.

I remember there was a mod you could do by editing a text file that allowed you to see the whole transition while submerging or surfacing rather than jumping between surfaced and submerged external views. Does anyone know what it is?

Thanks!

Ahoy

and wellcome back to SH2 :|\

what you need to do is open with windows notepad the file called "Sim.ini" located at "Silent Hunter II\Sim" folder, and add this (You can copy & paste):

[DEBUG]
FullCameraElevation = TRUE

Remember that the ini file is also useful to detune the sonar in game (Enemy and also yours) if you add this lines:

[SONAR]
Sensitivity = 0.8

You can set any value between 0.0 (No sonar sensitivity) and 1.0 (Normal sonar)

Good hunting
