Default Changing Missions in Carreer

Hello

From what I understand when starting a campaign the .mis files inside the Campaign folder are being "spooled down" as you play.

So now if I want to make a change to those .mis files, say edit a probability of a certain group (some 42a_jap_merchants [or how they are called]) to appear or if I want to change the unit types that are spawned, do I have to restart a career for the changes to take effect or are those .mis files loaded "freshly" each time I continue a saved game?

Side note: I am using TMO.

Default Welcome aboard!

knallgiraff! I see the infamous seven-year-itch has brought U 2 the surface since joining in 2014!

you can modify .mis files while you are in port, between missions.
keep copies of the TMO-files and be very careful what you change.
i am not yelling at you....merely sharing past experiences doing the same thing.

think about doing this type of change via a mini-mod that you can apply and un-apply if things go south on you.
good luck!

@aktungbby

Yes, I always wanted to give SH4 a go since I have it in steam for ages and (and got me a copy on CD because I had a 1.3 steam version prior to a reinstall d'oh) I can't enjoy SH3 anymore because of the unsolvable savegame bug.

Then I saw the "bag of tricks" thread and now I am again hooked for a while lol

@KaleunMarco

Thank you. I will look into that.
