That's a spectacular picture of the New York skyline with the liners. You should do a large version of it for one of the screenshot threads.

To complete the Cunard superliners serie, RMS Mauretania II might be a nice addition:hmm:
What do you think?

I know it's been said a thousand times, but it'd still be nice to have the Queen Elizabeth class battleships. I think everyone is sick of sinking the Rodney three or four times each career year. It's almost as if people are actively avoiding modelling them - it's not like there's a lack of talent around here.

Unfortunately, the QE model in that link is only accurate for 1918 - all, even Barham and Malaya, were very heavily updated in the intervening decades between the wars, radically altering their appearance.
Excellent period document showing the basic differences between the class groupings after refit. Queen Elizabeth after refit... ...and Warspite after hers. Note the numerous differences. She was the first to be refitted and her bridge structure/command layout served as prototype and testbed for the rest of her class, Renown, and the new KGV ships. Hope these are of some use. Hopefully they'll inspire you should you go ahead with the design. |

Oops, didn't see your message there IABL - those models sounds great. That's about the best of my QE images and blueprints, but if you need anything else, let me know and I'll have a dig around . I only wish I had the talent and inclination to create models myself ("create models" in the sense of 3D modelling, not the Weird Science sense).

Another liner that would be a great addition to SH3 would be the SS America. Renamed the USS Westpoint during WW2 when she served as a troopship. Tens of thousands of US troops were transported to Europe and the Pacific by her during the war (my Dad among them). The America did her crossings unescorted due to her high speed.
The SS America was a smaller version of the liner SS United States. |

ATTENTION!! A bug has been found in RMS Queen Mary, SS Empress of Britain and SS Rex; sometime they can be seen stopped and half sunk on them route. I'm working on this problem, please be patient. Others units aren't affected by this.
