"A thorough examination of a WWII submarine. Our creation is a generalized model taken from Gato and Balao class boats."

This is a great animated video showing in general the inner workings of an American submarine. This was produced by two hep cats named O'Neal; they must be a relation to someone here!

It is a very interesting representation of the submarine especially the way it gives you an almost visceral understanding for where everything is located and how all the systems are interconnected. It made me appreciate more than ever before how these magnificent submarines were engineered.

this is a screen shot of a IJN DD/DE that was split in half by my crew.
the after half sank while the forward half sailed on.
we had other fish to fry, so to speak, and i never went back to see if this piece ultimately sank.

this was during a Late-May 1943 patrol NE of New Ireland.
we stayed at PD too long...acting like a bold submariner instead of an old submariner.

...and we were pummeled. you need to look closely in the middle photo to see the DC descending. that is the one you see exploding in the third photo.

A surprise attack at 8:16 p.m.... My radar operators spotted them immediately...

Here under fire from several very aggressive speedboats even in bad weather..

Pass Sibutu attack of a torpedo boat..an armed barge..around 11:20 a.m. ideal time..5 m/s

Followed by the inspection a few moments later 12:05 p.m....I led this attack head on..Silence on board I let it come attack speed 1 knot..periscope under water..as soon as the ping sounded first torpedo position hight 5ft..contact influence.. pull..10s after 2nd pull...he steered 10 degrees tribort... that is his mistake erreur booom impacted..a few minutes after the aviation arrived I was lucky to dive from emergency..

Now back on a mission after returning to Fremantle...Opex infiltration...I have killed everyone who is on my road..

I am taking risks despite the mission because I have to infiltrate a spy but that is calculate...

I'm testing my new long range radar... offered by the house on my return... it must be said that I'm quite keen on it...

After remaining motionless at the bottom... observing the coast for several hours in order to observe the aerial and maritime activity...

3 days without seeing anything... only one bomber...
I was bored so... took advantage of the underwater world.. my pretty submarine... which was a little damaged.. after a few skirmishes, nothing apparent... my AA gun.. of the equipment... I have to repair... there is still a way to go... a good supply of torpedoes... so. wait and see..
