How do I aim the deck gun in Wolves of Steel

I have installed the Wolves of Steel mod however when I use the deck gun I no longer have the aiming bar as in the vanilla version. How do I turn this on?

The aiming bar is activated by pressing the icon in the upper left corner after you have activated manual fire control.
