Default Surface attack

I noticed in this mod (could be because of sh-4 itself) its impossilbe to do a decent attack at night. The destoryers allways spot you before i can get close enough and usually they are just to good of a shot to get closer to a targer then 3000 meters. Its february 1942 in my career and the destoyers did not have radar yet. I,m starting to think not to do any surface attacks at all since the enemy has nigh vission goggles and laser guided weapons so it seems

Try a surface attack in fog weather.

Yes fog is a good cover... but then it complicates your situational awareness. For me any kind of surface attack/shelling is done on calm nights from 3000 meters out anyway... I got run over by a merchant once in the fog .

Fog is Good, but I usually can not keep a target locked in fog , unless im less than 500 meters away. I get nervous traveling inside a convoy at that distance because, well, I suck at playing Frogger, and get ran over all the time. About two seconds before getting hit my sonar man will whisper "contact bearing 90', closeing, close range" then bam! I'm dead.

The gun in fog is the easy way, but takes to long and gives away your location quickley.

Just my cents worth.
