sen taka blueprint re scanned :
http://www.fischer-tropsch.org/prima...t%20S-01-6.pdf here the conning tower seems to be accurate, the hull less so. http://www.worldweapons.eu/1-Warship...n_ss-ha201.htm the top blueprint and the Sen Taka's from the USN mission to Japan show the same back planes and rudder. The latter is to be used as reference, since it was made when the subs were still around ! keltos Last edited by keltos01; 01-14-10 at 03:00 AM. |

I have few very detailed interior plans somewhere. (much more detailed than most of those seen in this thread so far)
I have to search my library and scan them; then I'll upload them somewhere. Give me a couple of days. If you're looking for photos, drawings and technical data, there's Erminio Bagnasco's Submarines of World War Two. Some of the reported data, however is inaccurate. Most of the figures floating around the net (like the entries in Wikipedia, or the pages of Combinedfleet site) take the info from that book. Arguably it's the most comprehensive catalog os subs employed in WW2

I continue to keep an eye out for you. Best bet might be japanese magazines and books. Keep an eye on the ship model making websites, too.

I've found and scanned a high resolution, ultra-detailed KD-7 blueprint
(My favourite japanese sub!). I also have a few others blueprints of similar quality of less known sub types. Problem is, the two images are 15-20 Mpixel and I don't want to resize them down because, otherwise, the fine kanji prints won't be readable. I'm at work now, I'll try find a hosting site when I'm back home. Have faith!

Nope, they are proper blueprints (not just the siluette). Here they are in all their digital Glory There is enough detail to even reproduce the interior, if some modder would like to. I've been tempted in the past to pick up 3DStudio and Photoshop to create it, but this is one of the many projects I shelved due lack of spare time.

Good! I'll never really went into SH modding. I got fed up after years of modding FPS (starting with the first Doom). However, if I could get some help from other people, I *could* decide to blew the dust off my 3D modelling tools and try doing a nice mesh.

Do that, make a model in .obj with uv1 and uv2 layers, make an AO map (.O01) a N01 map (normal map) make sure the tower and the hull are separate objects and... I'll be happy to include it in the IJN Campaign mod regards keltos |
