Default Silent Hunter 5 just stopped working (help please...)

Hello,

<TWoS 2.2.9 in use>

I have some problems with SH5 and ****ty U-play application too, i guess. Today U-play decides to install new files in my SH5 folder, for example uplay32.dll, uplay_r1_loader.dll. This crap also installed new .NET Framework 3.5 (I don't know why). I guess that is the reason that now I can't play the game. Game opens normally, but when i want to load save, enter museum or play single mission i have crash to desktop. Last time (2 or 3 days ago) everything worked fine.

I was in the middle of 1941 and i don't want to reinstall game or something because I will lose everything I did and what I achieved.

It is absurd how average user of legal copy of the game must be aware what "great" developers like UBI is doing at the moment.

Your saved games are in C:\Documents\SH5

Uninstalling your game will not affect your saved games unless you choose to do so.
As a belt and braces job make a copy of your SH5 folder and paste it to a different place.
Now if by some chance your SH5 folder disappears and a new one appears with nothing in it when you re-install just copy and paste your backup over it.

These are game launcher files not Silent Hunter 5 game files.

What is the installation path of your Ubisoft Game Launcher?

Peter

Installation path of UBI Game Launcher:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher

Hi T
Your game launcher shows correctly in the default path.
I cannot understand how those files got into your games path.
The obvious question therefor is what is your Silent Hunter 5 game path?
