I have a movie or a serie question.

Yesterday(it's past midnight here) I saw half of an episode of North & South.

Civilians was well dressed sitting in their carriage or standing on their feet. Well as the battle went on it became chaos and they had to flee.

This sequence made me remember a similar thing in another movie or was it in a serie.

It was near some big farmhouse-People was well dressed and was eating good food it was like they was waiting the start of the Superbowl.

Even here it became very chaotic. I seem to remember a funny scene where a cannonball hit the house and a bed with someones Grandma is flying and land somewhere on the field.

I try to recall the name of this movie or serie.

Tenet a weird movie but watchable indeed.

"Love Letters" 1999 starring Laura Linney and Steven Weber.

This is a very powerful emotional movie about loss.

Made on a relatively small budget, for tv.

No spoilers required.......2 kids grow up and as they go through life they exchange notes, letters, etc. They have different paths. He becomes a high profile conservative politician, she becomes a famous, troubled leftist artist.

They marry ( other people - not each other ). They have an affair.......she dies.

He's saved every note and letter they exchanged and taken time off to read them.....remembering their past. And as he reads them she's there in spirit reading them together.....

Many flashbacks as they relive their love.......

For those suffering from spousal loss I highly recommend it. For those yet to go through it...I say bookmark the movie link and watch it....it will help you immensely.

I distinctly remember thinking as I was watching it for the first time.." Is this a vision of the future???"

ETs want to bring peace, but of course America will not succumb .. (a satire, b.t.w.)

In 1983 Joe Strummer says to his mates..."Guys do you wanna be in a movie I'm making?"....everyone puts their hand up.

It's a bit of a "self indulgence" but being nearly 40 years old you could say it's got historical value.

If you "know" The Clash, it's very predictable. But it's also very atmospheric and "of it's times".
