Good deed of the day (yesterday) there is a "black redstart" (do you really call a "Hausrotschwanz" that?

) breeding in our carport, the parents chilping angry anytime we dare to use the car (the Citroën is unusable most of the time anyway made in Trance).
I saw one of the two chicks (zoological term please) of their offspring (second this year) had fallen out of the nest, so i took a cloth, grabbed him (very cautiusly of course) and put him back. Parents are now feeding both again.
Sorry no pictures, they still complain when i'm closer than three meters (appx 9 ft for our imperial visitors).

A clap on the shoulder for everybody who takes responsibility instead of turning away from an animal in need!

I invest in 20kg of hazelnuts and 20 kg of walnuts per quarter of the year. In summer, I change water twice per day.
