Default I don't understand about the lightning

I have it in game after I deleted the entire SHIV Save file and then let the game rebuild one when it was next loaded up and started a new Campaign then it worked just fine. It was the only thing that worked in getting the lightning working in every single aspect of the game.

Before I did that I could only get it in the Single missions specificly set up for that type of storm.

Oh well it is midnight here I am going to play a bit before bed time. Have a great night guys and catch you tomarrow after I am up. I cleaned out my PM's so people can reach me there as well.

One thing I have yet to see (8800 gts) is any kind of glare like you have in the screen shots. I get nothing at all.

Mine just doesn't look like this:

or this:

I get a bight area over a WIDE part of the sky, but nothing at all intense near the sun, just a big globe.

Mine looks like this:

The black lines show the size of the sun (to the left of the lines)

What's wrong?

Default I do not use the full scene glare effect

tater like you are. It actualy takes away from the over all effect's I set up for the game. So does the post process filters. I can't stand those 2 effect's because they remove the natural beauty of the game effect's that can be created.

Oh, cool!

I hated them myself, but assumed that they should be on. The readme doesn't say to turn them off, lol, just says AA should be on, etc. I think I tried the post process effects once with that mod that made it not suck.

I assumed that everything should be on. Doh!

Checking the goodness now!

Is anyone sure the hollywood effect works? I thought that made people fly off the ship, but the folder contains ONLY wav files.

Same check boxes, I think a couple of the other sliders aren;t to max since they seems land related, not ship related. Will check.

Default your sub dosn't have the level of detail mine does either

not as clean or as smooth as mine like your filters are still on.

What kind of video card do you have?

DAA never mind I see it posted further up

Did you let the program that comes with the video card set up your PC and monitor for best quality?

Plus my immage settings are set for high quality as well on the card's.

Remember I am running DUEL factory over clocked SLI PCI Express Card's

I am running 1280x1024 at 5;4 60hz

I match up the games to what I am running my monitor at on desk top level

Yeah, I did let it optimize. I don't have the very latest drivers, but I only built the machine a couple months ago, and it didn;t seem broken, so I elected not to fix it.

I'm using stock sub skins though right now.

I tried at yuor 5:4 resolution (1280x1024) no change.

So an 8800GTS won't show the glare?

Default yep either need new drivers or a bad card

One of my card's bit the dust and had to get them to give me a new one.

The card Holtz has is my old cards before these and ya they run nice!

Thank you! I was having a problem with the sky textures as well (8800GTS, max detail, current drivers). So far, it looks like that has fixed my problems.
