BTF: Where are the capital ships?

SH5 with TWoS...
I got a mission complete in my second patrol on the East British Coast, and when I was about to start my third, it was 14 October. I know that one can't chose 'Breaking the Fortress' after 15 October, but it was still available when i went to select my next mission.

Enroute, I received none of the usual radio instructions. There was a red 'x' and circle at Scapa Flow, but when I clicked on it, the little window with information was blank.

Well, I sailed on, managed with difficulty to get into the harbor, and there were nothing but about four DD's and about 8-9 merchants, only five of which were worth torpedos.

Was this because the allotted mission time expired when I was on my way there?

Or, perhaps it was that Prien fellow! He must have gotten there before me!

after you pick the mission then basic you go on leave if you use ksd it can be whatever you set it too so if it after the 15th you are just screw

They are not there because after the 15th, they are considered sunk by the game, so no Royal Oak I'm afraid
