Launching a world war
Want a challenge? Try designing and moderating a big game. I've got the design. I've launched the game, sought players on every gamer forum, blog site, and newsletter that I could find. I've even offered to let folks play the game naked!
This is not a casual game. It is not a quick game. It is a game for thinkers and for those with imagination. Loners could play, but teamwork will win the war. It is not a time-consuming game, unless you count the hours thinking about it. My shelves and drawers are full of expensive video games that I don't play any more. The stores offer very little for the PC gamer now. I do. In fact, my game can be played on PC, MAC, even iPhones and blackberries. Any system that lets you get and send email will get you going. The rules are in MS Word documents, and the game info is on a web site. The game play is by text in email messages. How much time is needed? A game turn is a month in game but takes 11 days of real time. We don't count weekends. Now who, I've been thinking, would be the ideal type of gamer for this? Sub simmers are patient types, thinkers, WW2 buffs, history types, why not put forward a suggestion? Have a look at my game.
