I haven't been able to located it in the commander drop down menu.

one question:

is it possible to use the snorkel and snorkel pipes from the type IX from Wise and Kovall? I see that Anvar1061 uses the tower of type IX from that mod.

Hello banryu79,

I would like to implement this feature in this mod, but unfortunately I do not find a way to do that, may be because I am not a really expert on mods. I found a Uboat made for Monsum Operation in SH4 (I think) and atthis moment I am working with a similar idea, deploy a mine like a sonar decoy. But I am not sure that will work in SH3.I probably will test it on this week end.

If someone has the knowledge to do that and would like to help, I am open to receive any help or ideas.

Hi Kurfürst,

For the AI mod, I created new conning towers modifing the stock SH3 type IX. I just added the crew and the MG34.
And for the playable version, I used the current stock SH3 conning towers.
For my undertanding any type IX conning tower should work with these mods.

Hello Archer7seven,

I tested on single missions, but I did the model with the ideia to use it in the carrer too, then I hope that works. I did not changed the Uboat name in the game. On the drop down menu you should select the type IXD2.

Hi fsaconi, I do not know a damn about modding but I made a little search in the SHIII Mods Workshop section and digged out some threads where you can read about mines and mine laying:
