Default SH2 dive time/rate

Is there any way to begin a fast dive, or to just simply select the "planes on dive" like you could on SH1?

The only way I can forsee of doing a quick dive is to perform a crash dive. Surfacing is also painfully slow unless I "blow ballast" which isn't always an option unless I wonna get killed by the destroyers above me!

I think 'Crash Dive' is it. But then, under normal conditions dive times were slower.

Anyway WELCOME ABOARD!

hi only other thing is go to flank..faster you go quicker you dive usualy..and travel/start from decks awash...(you can pick up the depth meter needle with the mouse and slide it minutely deeper from surfaced depth and let go and the boat will settle to decks awash...most time this will cut your dive time by at least a third...give or take a third or two lol

Well, you may want to try adding some mods to enhance gameplay. First and foremost add all the necessary patches, then Projekt Messerwetzer, which will enable you to manually control dive planes.
