SubCommand Campaign Bugs

I'm running into a bug in the SubCommand campaign that I just can't seem to figure out.

Its the 688 mission where you track the Akula out of its home port. Problem is, that the Akula AI is consistantly seting course due west and running aground and making the mission impossible to complete.

I've check the mission scripting and all the mission scripts tell the Akula to set course due north, but for some reason its setting course due west...

Has anyone discovered this problem themselves and found a solution?
