Good choice! Always liked the Doors when they 'blues-ed' it up then and again...
One of the best covers by the Doors was Back Door Man, written by the great Chess Records legend, Willie Dixon, and first recorded by the equally legendary, Howlin' Wolf: Here's the Doors' excellent cover: I think The Wolf would have approved... <O>

Thanks for the Rag Fubar2Niner, I was more after a ragtime rendition, ala the St. Louis Ragtimers, in the vein of this: only faster, of course... Here's a St. Louis Rag that might a pinch high brow for some of us... the feller has a suit on, and he's playin' a gran' pie-anner with its mouth open... That Thunderstruck one, by the by, that ain't bluegrass with a twist, that's rock 'n' roll with a twist, and done the way it's supposed to be... bluegrass style... or should I say "staihl"?... |
