I had a supervisor who, for some reason, was proud of Texas. Once when he piled it on a bit too much about the size of Texas, one of my co-workers from the 49th State casually said

"The US should cut Alaska in half and make Texas the third biggest state".

It was funny listening them go on. I felt like an adult listening to two kids arguing about who was better, Batman or Spiderman.
