That would take general mobilisation, the one thing he fears most because of the unpopularity it would bring in the general population.

Of this mobilisation the conscripts can not fight in Ukraine because ... it is not war they have to sign a contract to go to Ukraine and of all those conscripts going not all go to the fronts personnel is also needed behind the fronts, so those numbers maybe seems high, but they are not Russia has after a year or so still about the same in Ukraine (300K)

I've seen a lot of **** these last 18 months.

But the sheer stupidity of RU actions in Avdiivka, Pisky area is astounding.

I've never seen such lack of disregard for soldiers. Running straight line human waves. Bodies stacked ontop of each other in fields, armor running over the deceased to get through.

The RU losses have to be extremely high. As in the thousands already and only from 3-4 days of fighting. And it's not just mobiks, it's vdv, dpr, & contract units. This is from an Iraq/Afghanistan Vet currently fighting in Ukraine Company Commander 59th Motorized Brigade Ukrainian Armed Forces think he knows his history. see the Russian losses same as with bakhmut same as the trend with armour loses is doubled after 3 days Russia does not attack with armour only meat waves.

Putin says Russian forces improving positions along front line in Ukraine!

While Ukraine took back territory taken by Russia last year, the Ukrainian army has struggled to penetrate Russian lines which have been bolstered with mine fields and thousands of extra Russian troops.

"As for the counteroffensive, which is allegedly stalling, it has failed completely," Putin said in video remarks posted to social media by a Kremlin journalist Pavel Zarubin.

"The opposing side is preparing new active offensive operations. We see it and we know it," Putin said when asked about the battle for the eastern Ukrainian town of Avdiivka.

Both Russia and the United States have described the upsurge of fighting around Avdiivka as a new Russian offensive.
