Great stuff Reaper.......can't wait to sink it

A question.....why is the lifeboat not round?IS it because you have a limit of how many polygons you are allowed?

Thanks Mate, The lifeboat is the same model as on the original one just re textured.
As far as I know most Fishing boats of that size would not have had Inflatable dingy s anyway. The wooden boat would have been cheaper and more available for use on commercial trawlers of that time .

A little bit of an Improvment
Hi mate,

Nice work on that fishing boat the difference is like day and night

With the AO pass it will shine even more.

The ugly ships will be a thing of the past very soon

Since i didn't made the tutorials on more complex ships take note that a lot of ships have a sinking 3d model counter part so when doing those ship you have to replace the ship half with your new one so when someone sink it it wont show the old texture model underwater.

Since makman will attempt at ships also and other potential modder like Bakkel might join us then the new HAHD ships will start to pop up quite fast

Hi mate,

I have redone a better version of those lifeboat you can see them on the Fletcher video.

Also @Reaper feel free to used them if you want you might have to do slight modification on it but the visual will be a lot better than those stock one

Nice, the more improved models the better.
Maybe you could create a folder in FTP for those models as addons to theWIP models the team will be working on.

Got the Ambient Occlusion Maps done and layered into the Textures

Thanks Hans, Totally forgot to enable antialias
And was in windowed mode to top it all off

Hans any chance you making a tutorial on how you do animated parts for the ships .

There only available for now to the HAHD Team members.
Once the Mod is released they will be made available for everyone's use .

On another note how do you force Antialiasing in SH3. All the options I set for SH3 under Nvidia Control Panel for the SH3 Profile seen to be ignored

Hi friends, there is a specific date of release of this magnificent work?
I have plans to return to play Silent Hunter 3 and I wonder if there is any particular date. LSH What about the 5 to be tested? Or the Operation Mosun for Silent Hunter IV?

Hi mate,

Affirmative there will be one on animation and how to integrated in game but we don't want to go nut with animation because it is an all new ball game for the game engine, this is taking way more resources on engine then static mesh.

I will show how to optimize the animation loop by reducing the amount of animation frames without loosing too much quality.
