I've just had another look and it is obvious this is open to your interpretation but you do realise there is no base in the Indian Ocean?

Could you be a little more precise when you mention the word base ... as you know was the attack against the enemy ...and I have never mentioned the word "base ".... there may be a city, in other words,

Indian Ocean is large with a colonial power as United Kingdom at that time ... so you did some "curry" guesses before, which is the best answer so far,

There is always Aden in the 'Gulf of Aden' as opposed to the Indian Ocean

Reading the thread, just a guess, since I don't have GWX installed to check....could it be Diego Suarez in Vichy Madagascar and the British amphibious assault in May 1942.
