Jimbuna, it ended up taking 44 hours to sink. made my patrol 5 ships for 18,600 tons. 4 patrols for 39,900 total now.

I will download the JSMGE (or whatever it is called) when i get home in the Philippines. I am also going to download your GWX then also. I am really looking forward to that.

You're in for a treat with GWX3. Just be sure to download it from Jim's File Front page. I ran into problems with the downloads from the Grey Wolves site, but Jim's have worked flawlessly for me.

Just got done with my 9th Patrol with the U-52 Type VIIb. 144,276 tons making me the leading captain. Once again another career starting with catching ships alone with no escorts. But this time I have a lot of warship kills. 7 destroyers and 2 corvettes. I got a V&W doing 25 knots from 6100 meters. I could have taken a nap waiting for that torpedo to hit. After patrolling AN16 (second time been assigned that) I tried sneaking into Scapa Flow. Won't be doing that again, let's leave it at that. (I think the water is 12 ft deep lol). I saw a Fiji cruiser alone, but I couldnt get a shot off. I am glad the Elco's can't use their torpedoes. I got into a running fight with 3 of them near Dover. My deck gun crew got one and I got 2 with the flak gun. I torpedoed a trawler. it split in two and the bow must have shot 20 ft out of the water. Made a big splash when it landed too. I have 3200 renown, so after next patrol I will be upgrading to the Type VIIc. I have actually never been in one.

I fly to Dubai on Friday and home to the Philippines on Saturday. Will be nice having a 23 day break.

Patrol 12 is done and we are docked in Lorient. I hate that port. It is to cramped and way to many ships for its size. Patrols 10 and 11 were long and without much success patrolling in the dead zone that is called the Azores. Only got 3 ships in the 2 patrols. Patrol 12 was eventful. 5 ships for 18,000 tons. I was down to one torpedo when i met the fattest convoy of my career. It had 2 passenger liners and 4 tankers along with 6 C-2's. I fired my last torpedo at 6000m at a passenger liner, but a T-3 tanker was hit instead. It slowed down but didnt stop. The escorts were unable to locate me but I also didnt get a sinking. I am at 169,900 tons ahead of Prien at 169,000. Ohhhh, I tried to see Gibraltor but that place is swarming with destroyers. 2 hunter/killer groups were in the straits. I will attempt to get photos later.

Patrol 14 done and it was a resounding success. Had a great cat and mouse chase in a horrible storm with a huge convoy. The mouse won though as I couldnt get it in the storm. But we got 6 ships for 31,700 tons bringing the ships total to 201,000 tons. Ahead of the second captain by 7,000 tons. Again, no escorts with any of my targets and I got another 2 ship convoy. Sank the first and damaged the second badly but i had no deck gun ammo to sink it after i used my last torpedo. I followed it for a day because it had 2 huge fires burning but it didnt sink and I was down to 10% fuel. There is a new supercharger for my ship, but i dont have the renown yet to get it. Hopefully another successful patrol and I will be able to get that extra knot I want.
