Here's the rub those that peaceably assemble dont have to prove a thing. Regardless of whether there is any merit to the claims of theft or voter fraud or not. It doesnt matter if you are a republican, democrat, blm, antifa, proud boys or who ever. Everyone has the Constitutional right to peaceably assemble and the United States Congress cannot enact legislation that would abridge that right.
Unfortunately the middle ground and our sanity is lost and muddied, the peaceful protestors ignored or forgotten when extremists in any group take the focus away from them. And by extremists I include every single elected politician, appointed official or citizen that has called for violence against another. Which if you look there are plenty, there has been someone from each side of the aisle that has at one time or another called for violence. I think what we are seeing is a relatively small group of people who have listened to them. And party fanbois will actually suggest they prefer one over the other or simply turn a blind eye.

This has made me wonder when reading the article you posted. What if and it is a big what if..it's Trumps plan to declare military state of emergency and thereby stay as President.

Twitter lost 5 Billion dollars in stock trading the day after they froze Trumps Twitter account.

They were able to get half back by the end of the day, but that adds up to 2 1/2 billion dollars that they are no longer worth.

A couple of things. First of all I am not saying that some of those people on Jan. 6 should not be prosecuted for obvious crimes. But those crimes would be tresspassing, property damage , theft and assault. And possible the missuse of deadly force. It is simply laughable that anyone would believe that these people were going to overthrow the US government.

Then there is Trump. What he is being accused of, sedition, insurection and inciting a riot would not pass the legal definition for those crimes.

But that isn't stopping the hysterical people on the left. What I was saying is that Joe Biden could have been the reasonable voice in putting out a fire. It's probably too late now but what an opportunity to look very Presidential and win votes to his party. And heal a currently divided nation.
