First, thx for your hard work! Decided to give Sh5 another go when i saw this...
But I'm experience some problems. First of all, what is the diffrence between mods.mep, sobers DBSM.mep and sobers.mep? It seems that it's only sobers.mep that work with the download. Second, i can't get it to work. I install the game fresh, delete the SH5 folder in my documents, start the game with only open horizons II full v2. Do the tutorial and docks in Kiel. After the talk I quit the game and load sobers.mep. But when I try to load the autosave in base it CTDs. I've also tried to to a save after walking around in the bunker, but still CTD. Funny thing thou, I tried to load an old save from may, and it worked. Didn't check if it was all working, just loaded to the base and quit. Do anyone have any ides? |

Hi there,
I'm a fan of this game, and i got excited when i found this mega mod. Actually i've contribued, since i think it's worth, and i've downloaded all the mods in the single pack. But.. I believe that some name of the mods changed, since the MEP given won't work with the Generid Mod Enabler, but it's ok. I've tryed to install all the mods, started an hystorical mission to test all the package, and it works. But when i try to start a career, even following all the steps - delete sh5 folder in doc - enable open horzinons v2 full mod only - start tutorial and finish it - wait untill u have control of yourself on the dock - exit - enable all the mods i try to load the game, and i have a clear ctd while loading how can i do? I really want to spend hours on this mod |

And be sure that all mods are in your mod folder and then refresh the list. JSGME>tasks>refresh lists And check that you have the right mods, you do not want to rename old version of the mod to a new one just to trick JSGME to load it via the .mep Last edited by Navuhodonosor; 01-23-13 at 07:31 AM. |

What have I done wrong?
Firstly, thanks for all the hard work.
I downloaded the complete all in one file this morning and installed as per instructions (as far as I know!). I could see that there were over 100 mods available in JSGME but the MEP file only activated 70. I dont have any other mods in my mods folder except for those included in the megamod download. I did not have any mods installed prior to downloading this morning.It's a fresh install. What's going wrong there? Any help very much appreciated. |

I think that this is the main issue. This thread is maintained by Sober and it is allways up to date. All in one thread is maintained by Philipp Tnomsen and he updates it according to updates on this thread. So my advice would be to download the .mep file from first post on this thread and run it via JSGME. then check what it says it is missing. Then download missing mods from links on first post in this thread. |

First let me echo everyone elses comments here, fantastic effort for doing all this.
I too am having problems, with CTD's at various stages and various methods. I have followed the instructions, downloaded the mod a couple of times to ensure the newest version. The only .mep i can get to work without missing mods is the sobers.mep included with the mod download. Using this results in the game CTD when trying to load back into the "Bunker" after the tutorial. I have also tried this on new careers, skipping the tutorial. I have also tried this from a fresh install, as the instructions say. With the Open Horizons mod only first time to do tutorial, then turn all mods on and load game. This is where the crash occurs... For the sake of testing i have also tried starting a new career straight from scratch with all mods active, this also results in a crash trying to load the "Bunker" save game. I'm still trying, as i really want to give this a proper play. I did manage to load an old save game of me at the start of the very first patrol. All looks incredible (which is why i am persisting). I engage the Harbour Pilot to take me outbound along the canal. So far so good... Then CTD, once about 1/4 of the way down the kiel canal. Even does it if i try the other route around Denmark. I hate to ask, but is there any chance you could look at doing make a streamline version .mep with a stable core that can then be added to by the user? I'm going to have a play now on a fresh install, just installing various mods ontop of open horizons and see if can at least get into the game. Everyone with crashes, try to install the mods one by one, not with mep files.
The last time I tried to install this with the mep the game had serious problems. |

First try to follow instructions on first page to the letter
Trust me it is important. I have no CTD-s ,so you will not have too. I know that it is boooring to play tutorial with only OHII only ,but do it and wait for green tick, than save exit and load the .mep from first page on this thread. See what is missing than download that mods from links. Some mods in your list are outdated and some are not in use because of instabillities. Try this first. Another important thing is that saves get bloated and corrupted if you change mods whenewer whatewer, so delete all and start from the first page on fresh install. (Do not forget to delete all files in your "My Documents" |
