I agree with Jeff-Groves in his statement, that this wasn't a coup.

I know the politician in and outside USA and the media call it a coup. An attempted coup.

I'm questioning it-Was it by definition a coup ?

It could be called a Terrorist attack, a domestic violence indecent, a riot, a failed insurrection, etc.
Depends on the slant you want to sell.

A coup is violent. These people were protesting.

Taking over a police department in Portland, and destroying evidence for rape victims is more a coup if you ask me. But I use the term loosely of course.

Anyone motivating people to follow confused conspiracy theories, QAnon, The Wild Boys, rightist extremism, overthrowing an election be the use of force, deserves no respect.
