Watched Deliver Us From Evil
For what it is, it's not a bad movie. It's fairly generic as far as horror movies go but I enjoyed it. Pretty easy way to kill two hours. Eric Bana is pretty good at what he does...

My wife got me a boxed set of Jason Statham movies for Christmas. Just watched "War" (co-starring Jet Li)... brilliant!
Left this one 'til last, thinking it looked the least exciting... couldn't have been more wrong! Last edited by Eichhörnchen; 01-07-15 at 07:18 PM. |

The Book Of Eli
With Denzel Washington, the guarantee of a top-rate pic. Never seen him in anything less than excellent (I guess I know by now what comes next)...
The terrific Soul track he listens to near the beginning is "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart", by Al Green (I've posted a Youtube link in the Subsim Music thread). Second time of watching this, which also stars Gary Oldman who always seems to be a villain nowadays. It's a keeper. |

The first thing I think of when I read his name are the three 'Dark Knight' movies, in which he plays Sergeant/Lieutenant/Commissioner James Gordon.

Not exactly about movies but stil.
A few days ago I saw an old episode of Columbo and beside Peter Falk, even William Shatner was in this episode. Maybe I have seen to much star trek, ´cause I was waiting for him to pick up his "telephone" and call Scotty and ask him to beam him up. Markus |

A phrase never actually used in a Star Trek episode

Hornets' Nest
I'd never heard of this movie until a few days ago: anyone seen it? From the stills I found online, it looks like a bit of a turkey. That same glamorous bint who appeared in "The Secret War Of Harry Frigg" is in this too (see my review in Post #1150)
(Also, does anyone else think that Rock Hudson looks like a cross between Rambo and Pat Mustard in this?) |

They had a lot of fun with that joke in Boston Legal. One time Shatner opened his cell phone and it made the "chirp" noise.

I been diggin' Chinese and Korean films lately. Watching on NetFlix right now "The Good, Bad And The Weird".
Another good one is a comedy "Kung Fu Hustle".
