HT 1.47 has one of the best readme.txt files I've ever read.
I don't know why some people don't read it - it's very interesting.
Rubini and Scire made fantastic historical text.

Correction: In short, the RSI was a fascist government of Italy that was really a puppet government of Germany.

It's all in the HT historical documents... It might be a little long, but it's a good read.

This is a great mod!

I see the PTboats mod is included. Is the wolfpack By Sergbuto also included ?
If not, is there a chance it will be included?

Thanks

Hi. I've been tinkering around and was curious if I could run the mod without the AI U-boats or milk cow sub being present? I removed the files that seemed to be associated with the boats. I could enter the museum ok, but when I try to start a campaign mission I get a CTD. I guess I wanna play without them because it gets old having to do skins for them when I want to change my U-boat skin. Sometimes the AI U-boat skins work right and sometimes not. When they don't it annoys me because the conning tower may be different from the hull altogether, or it may be different than the hull while docked but when sailing it matches. Is it possible to play without them?

Syxx,

I'm afraid that is not a easy task to delete all the AI uboats from the HT SCR. If you can try you can do this with the Mission Editor. Another way is to make a find and replace using notepad (open the SCR) and then replace all the ai uboats class and type for a fishing boat for example. But a third and best way is to solve the skin problems. I already put a link with the fix on the skins for the guys who have problems with ithem. But I don't see any feedback yet. :hmm:

Greetings,

Rubini.

You did? I don't remember seeing it. Was it in the original post? I didn't see it. I could have missed it though.

Syxx,

Here the link. These are the latest update for Ai uboats on HT. They all have unique texture names for towers and hulls. And the AI VIIC is now cloned from a cable fix VIIC tower. Just mantain the same unique name for the textures.

Let me know if this fix your problem.

Thanks for the link. I'll have to give it a try tomorrow sometime. What I'm wondering is, why do some skins work, but if I use a different skin with the same exact file structure and names, I get different results?

This thing sounds like it's got some pretty cool stuff in it, but this modding business is getting pretty complicated (so many good choices).

After running about every RUB since about 1.2 or so, I switched over to IUB a couple of patrols ago. I'm currently running SH3 Commander 2.4 with IUB 1.02, NYGM crew mgmt, NYGM combo aircraft and ship damage .39, and navimap mod.

Would this HT 1.47 mod work on top of all that, or would I have to remove some of them? I know there's so much in HT that a list of all the differences would be too long, but could someone tell me what are maybe the top 3 or 4 coolest differences I would see if I used HT 1.47 with or instead of what I'm running now (and maybe the top 2 or 3 things I might lose by doing so, if anything)?

Thanks

panthercules,

HT for RUb 1.45 is obviously safe for RUB 1.45. I think that it could be work fine over IUB 1.02 too. But for now you can choose between NYGM and HT series. If you install all the files from NYGM campaign over Rub+HT or over IUB 1.02 you will lose HT features. What I'm pointing now (If you really want HT features) is that you only use the RND layer from NYGM campaign mod. This is the main part of NYGM. The NYGM damage and crew mods can be used without problems. But only to info, I'm working with Teddy to merge the HT on NYGM campaign and JonZ is working on new IUB, maybe with HT+RUB1.45+NYGM in it too...

Cheers,

Rubini.
