I can see that it looks the same then.... I was just wondering about the very pixalated effect when standong on the con tower. I have issues with Anti Aliasing as well but that sis another story. OMEGU v300 adds in all the German speech, so it's not really needed anyway. Spaxs will cause CTDs near major ports. For the longest time I'd get CTDs any time I was near a big port besides St. Nazaire. I ended up getting so frustrated with it that I eventually put SH4 aside for awhile, back around when KIUB was still in beta. After SH5 was released, I decided to try the OMEGU V300. Anyway to make a long story short, I discovered that OM + OMEGU by themselves didn't cause any CTDs when I launched at a major port like Kiel or Lorient. I could immediately go to the bridge without a CTD. As soon as I installed a sound mod like Spaxs though, instant CTD if I tried to launch while docked at the tender and then switch to the bridge. The other side of the coin is that the CTD issue prevented me from approaching most ports as well, and could potentially make some saves (if you were too close) to CTD when you loaded them. It was a lot of headache for such an easily fixed problem. Needless to say, I use this as a method now to troubleshoot new mods to see if they'll behave or not. I didn't try just OM since OMEGU really really adds a lot to it. Once you've tried it, it's hard to go back. It's like trying to play Stock SH4 almost lol. |

Thanks a lot Shadow. I havent had any crash to desktops yet but ill most likely remove Spaxs mod just to be safe. Now.. Currently this is my configuration and it works good thus far..
OpsMonsun_v705 OMv705_720 Spax Uboat Speech (to be removed after return to port) OMv720 patch2 AOBF 16-9 OM_Med Env OM_ Multi Command Keys (never noticed this mod however) OM_Harder Escorts L2 OMEGU v300 Patch5a pkg Anything wrong? I have noticed that land seems to be much brigther and greener. And the Atlantic ocean still looks as clear as the pacific. Any mods to clean that up yet? Is there any other mods i could use that will advance my OM experience? Compatible mods of course... The mod KIUB looks awesome, could i instALL This mod with any problems?? Ah and one more thing. Please is there any tutorial out there for manu tdc and firing solutions +plotting courses and intercept courses??? I know there was a few for Sh3 but SH4 is a different cookie, and OM seems to have changed so much, id love to be able to track ships down and such... THANKS!!!!! |

It appears that you don't have OMEGU v300 loaded. If this is, true OM is "NOT" going to run correctly with "add-on" mods that are the "designed" to work with OMEGU installed

This is generally how your mod order should look like....
OpsMonsun_V705 OMv705_to_V720 OMv720_Patch2 OMEGU_v300 OMEGU_v300_Patch5A KiUB_English ... other optional OMEGU mods below this point found within the v300 and Patch5A pkg folders... The OM_Med and OM_Pac are for the Mediteranean and Pacific areas, respectively. They were added for the flotillas operating in these areas, but definitely would be out of place in the Atlantic. More than likely, having OM_Med_Env is what's causing your game to look out of place. As for tutorials on manual TDC and whatnot, there are quite a few that cover various aspects and are stickied in the SH4 main forum iirc. I've been having a bit of a problem.
For some odd reason, my torpedo doors keep closing right after opening them. I get a confirmation not only from the switch reverting back to closed, but the log interface as well. I'm not sure what's causing it. Never had this problem before. My load order is this, OpsMonsun_V705 OMv705_to_V720 OMv720_Patch2 OMEGU_v300 OMEGU_v300_Patch5A KiUB_English Current date in my game is March, 1941 though it's been happening since 1939. Kiel and St. Nazair, 7th Flotilla. VIIB. |
