Old favorite of mine...has to be posted:

DEUTSCH NEPAL:
->

a general sat on my cradle
said: "he is a beuatiful child
he is going to be a man,
as i love him,
governor, maybe, in deutsch nepal!"

i was born in the land of warriors, ah..warriors
i´ll take great pains
to be a hero
but the victory-ah
is to be waited, ah- waited!

maybe the general was whrong
general, general, general!

I have a taste for the creative and the Avant Garde with a nice heaping of Dada to smooth it out. I like music that makes you use your head to comprehend it rather than just processes everything for you.

Skinny Puppy

Merzbow

Lycia

Wolf Eyes (This video is them from ages ago. They've evolved their sound a bit since these days and are awesome to see live.. just bring ear plugs)

More recent reccording:

Hal McGee: He has all his reccordings for download off this site. "The Man With The Tape Reccorder" is awesome. So is M8.

I think we both share that trait, though I guess my listening range is somewhat different.

I listen to a LOT of different music. But if I had to do a top 10 [edit - okay, 15!... make that 16. I keep thinking of new ones] this moment...

1) King Crimson
prog rock (with hints of metal)

2) DDT (russian)
russian rock (with hints of industrial)

(this video will be especially relevant tomorrow! )

3) Porcupine Tree
prog rock

4) Akvarium
russian rock

5) Captain Beefheart
dada rock or something

6) David Sylvian/Nine Horses
avant-garde (of a softer variety)

7) Inna Zhelannaya (russian)

russian progressive folk-fusion

8) Gentle Giant
prog rock

9) Pilot
russian rock

10) Dolphin
russian alternative (sort of mix of electronic, rap, rock)

11) Pain of Salvation

prog metal

12) Kirpichi
russian rap/punk

13) Vienna Teng
songwriter/folk

14) Korol' i Shut
russian punk/thrash

15) Joe Satriani
shred

16) Egy i Petrucco

avat-garde storytelling (spoken word)
