Ahoy, so I've been registered a good while now but never posted. Been some time since I've played as well, now here I am re-installed, updating old mods and such and continuing my manual TDC training

Good evening gentlemen, Lance Corporal Carrow requests permission to come aboard!

I discovered Subsim in a google search for "silent hunter 5 mods", and ended up discovering an amazing source of more than just mods; there are a great deal of very informative tutorials on how to really do all the complex things that actually had to be done to successfully apply submarine ordinance to a target, and while I don't play at that realism level (I'm not smart enough, I'm just a dumb grunt LOL), I still get almost as much enjoyment out of reading the various tutorials as I do playing the game. And, it's nice to find a place on the internet where people actually seem to know what the hell they're talking about.

As for me, I'm a US Marine infantry Lance Corporal in the inactive reserve, I just got out in July and am now going to college, haven't declared a major yet but I'd like military history if I can find a school that has it. I really only posted because I had to in order to download more than three mods, but don't take that for being anti-social, I'm just outclassed in the knowledge department by most people here, so I refrain from talking about things I know comparatively little about!

Hello! I've been lurking without registering for quite some time. While I'm not exactly a hardcore subsim player, I've enjoyed both Silent Hunter 3 and 4. I bought the original Silent Hunter when it was released but I never got into it and I thought Aces of the Deep was a much better game.

I just got a new rig and one the first games I wanted to try out was SH5. I've completed the first mission but I soon realized that it needs some mods especially as the interface really doesn't feel as authentic as SH3. I only played the vanilla SH3 and SH4 so hopefully I won't mess up (but then there are plenty of good threads to make sure that I don't).

Hi all,new recruit here,not got my sea legs yet and looking a bit green round the gills

I came across the site after reading a review about SH5 that almost put me off buying it.
there are some really talented modders and players here wich i hope to take advantage of (in a non sexual way

) in my learning process.

Im a new member and kinda new to subsim games.I started playing Silent Hunter 4, 2 weeks ago and i found this game really addicting!

I was searching for some "mods" to make the game a little bit better and i found this great site.Good job guys!
And i have already downloaded some great mods.
