A pun, just for the Frau, written by Leonardo da Vinci.

"L'amore mi fa sollazar."

Not sure. I've never been good at grammar. Always hated it.
As I've suggested before....you often don't think before you post

Don't worry, we're in General Topics - where civility is mostly mandatory but thinking is always optional.

No guesses yet? Okay, here's a hint, in Leonardo's own handwriting.

Be sure brain is in gear before mouth is engaged?

I stripped the synchronizers long ago trying to power shift without the use of a clutch.

It's one of his little puzzles, I think the idea is that the names of the notes spell out the phrase (more or less). My Italian ranges from rusty to nonexistent but I think it's something about being amused by love, or loving to be amused, or amusing himself in a loving fashion... which... er... let's just stop right there.

Yep. Wolferz figured it out plenty close enough.

"L'amore mi fa sollazar" is a play on the Italian for "Love gives me solace".

Of course "Amo" means "I love", but it is followed by re mi fa so and la.

I found it in the notes for an album I picked up which uses the phrase for its title. I don't know if Leonardo was a musician or composer among his other talents, but he did draw designs for several musical instruments. The beauty of this one is that while the songs are from various Renaissance composers, the instruments were all made from Leonardo's designs.

Now back to our regularly scheduled program "Frau Kaleun tears down her house with her bare hands."

When did it change from "Frau in the Condo"?

I like the new title though.

It's a condo. Not a house.

But, it is nice to be given a peek into the urbane Frau Kaleun turning it into her home.

I feel so voyeuristic.
I can't wait to see the new fridge.

Work is a spectator sport for me these days.

>sigh<

It's a separate building, not apartment-style. Therefore it qualifies as a house even if there is a condo association to deal with. As far as the dwelling itself goes the two are interchangable. Go pick somebody else's nits.
