I'm for another patch. There are reasons as to why Silent Hunter 4 is still on my shelf and I'm finding myself playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and WoW instead. Please give a working subsim?

A good game that could be excellent, further patching required to reach it's full potential. If support is lacking it will certainly influence my future purchase decisions in regards to Ubisoft products... and not in a good way.

It is so sad that you have to ask (almost beg) for something you already paid a serious ammount of money. No way I'am spending mine if they don't finish it. My friend did and know he is pi...ed. It is simply a rip off.

I hope there are still some decent people in UBI. BR for all of you!

I've already stopped playing this game waiting for the patch that will make radar work correctly. Also bought the game knowing it would need to be patched, but if this patch doesn't happen, forget me ever buying another Silent Hunter game.

I think the game is great, but along with everyone else I have a few items that should be addressed in a patch:

My apologies if this is redundant.

1) The lifeboats....................great concept. In my opinion they need a little work. When a ship is hit, the lifeboats are in the water way too fast. They also travel way too fast and show on radar as merchants.

2) The AA gun eye point needs moving. If you are on a sub that has the "tub", the gun is almost useless, except directly toward the stern.

3) The rocks on the bottom, make em disappear.

4) Slow down the land vehicles.

5) The Japanaese aircraft must have homing devices, and they seem to appear out of nowhere.

Just adding my voice to the many. Its unacceptable to leave the game as it is, we need the game as it is meant to be. Ubisoft fix it.

Ahoy mates! Enjpy these simulators and agree there's allot to fix on sh4 but I was wonderin.. If memory serves me correct, Silent Hunter did not have too many bugs in it when it was released. Sh2 did have problems. I never even finished the game it crashed too many times. I seem to remember something about the game being delayed due to personnel changes inside UBISOFT. Does anyone else remember this or am I wrong in my remembering.When sh3 came out I remembered thinking "well here goes another 50 buck wasted.." and we were all really suprised how well it eventually came to play. I still have it active on my pc in case I get the craps of sh4. When sh4 was announced I assumed like everyone else that ubisoft is getting their act together and sh4 has got to be the best to date. What a letdown. Did the developers loose personnel or something? What would prompt a developer to knowingly release software packages that have many fixes needed..Sub simulators aren't plentiful so we got to keep going back to the only show in town. I think they know this and realize they ARE the only show in town.

SH4 needs a v1.3 patch (at least!) I bought this game in full knowledge that it would be incomplete as I also was an early adopter of SH3, but SH3 was patched to a state of acceptability. I expect the same of SH4. If I am to be a mug due to expecting patches that never eventuate I will be most displeased.
