Glad to hear that you are enjoying the game. As soon as you've got the hang of things, check out the mods. The biggest complaint about SH5 was that is was not up to scratch on release. But now after the great work of many modders, the game is something else. It's one of the few games where you can admire a beautiful sunset whilst blowing things up
Good hunting!

Welcome aboard, Siren! Yes, there are several female subsimmers active at the moment, and as you post more you'll get to know them quite well, I'm sure. Also, when you've decided on an picture you like we can contact the site owner and get it installed for your avatar. The guys have to donate; ladies get one free.

Hi all. My name is Jim and have been trying out SH5 for a little while and still trying to learn. And there is a lot to learn. I don't usually post on forums so this is new to me also. But just wanted to say hello to all and enjoy. BTW from Northern Maine in the USA.

Hi everybody.

I am from Copenhagen in Denmark.
I have enjoyed the forum for a long time, but have not added very many replies to threads until now. But lately I have found several threads so interesting, that I have started commenting and therefore I find it natural to say a few words about my self here.

I have played the complete list of Silent Hunter, meaning SH 1-2-3-4-5. I started playing SH1, when it was new and just released. So many years have passed and I am still using a lot of time in conningtowers .

When I started playing SH5, I was supprised to find it so clumpsy and with a totally stupid UI. Therefore I am very impressed and find it fantastic, that the modders in this forum have been able to change it into this fabulous and exiting game, that we play today. Thanks to you all.

An hi to all you mates on the forum.

Default Hello

Hi all, John here, or Slap if you prefer. Just bought SH5 and am going to play it through in real time all the way I thought it would be nice to have something I can leave running and occasionally tinker with when there are some nice targets to shoot at! I also thought it would be nice to play something that requires a bit of thought and skill so I am going to play it on the most realistic settings I can, have added a few mods pretty successfully but so far I'm having a bit of a job trying to work out my position on the map! Will add a new thread to ask for help :p

Cheers
