Nah, unfortunately you missed the cannons. You hit some 30-40 meters to the East of them. The arty was on the beach near the right edge of first screenshot, behind that white wall. Arc, got in range and dropped arty on them and finished the job.
Ah yes, it looks nice when someone's providing CAS. Especially like when the pilot starts shooting from afar with the A10's cannon, you see the shots land and a second later hear the distinct *BRRRRRRRATTT* coming from the cannon. |

I like spotting for arty, get shot a lot less if I'm not doing the shooting. Dang radio weighs a ton though.
Services rebuild, wrecks repaired and all vehicles serviced; hop in and it should fly, drive and shoot just fine. Don't be discouraged from playing tomorrow. (really hope the darn server doesn't crash during the night though) Turns out we had 2 AA units in the base all along: M163 VADS. Parked them close to base spawn for some airdefense should the VDV show up at the right time. Me and Dowly sheltering from the rain, roof is a little leaky though. Ruskie dragging his buddy... somewhere.

Yah, I'm guessing I'm the closest thing to a server admin we have.
Player beware.

Seriously though, we've got a few non-SSC guys who keep coming back to play, I'm guessing because they like to play there. There were 3 of them playing when you and Hunter logged on, and all 3 left within 15 min. I just spend 90 min cleaning up after you 2 so the server is playable. Level the base? Fine, whatever you like. But you could help repair a bit before logging off, so other people can play as well.

True that, Arc. Can't afford to drive the non-SSC players away. Nice to have people on the server during daytime aswell.

Not just them; I doubt Oberon would be pleased if he had to drive a repair truck, then a refuel truck, rebuild jet service and then service his beloved A10 before he could take off, just to give an example.
Or go look for a ditched, unflyable one somewhere on the map and blow it to respawn... Still need to find that AH64.

What about coordinate and roleplay for future game sessions?
because I have the idea of late that we all slack a bit in what we do...we do want we want and pick what we want. if it's just the 2 of SSC members playing I guess it doesnt matter...but when I looked yesterday in the player list players where all over the place (positions) ...we lack a leader for example (now the leader position doesn't give you special abilities) but we need someone to take the lead and the rest follows. Should we try a game of that tonight (on a fresh Domination mission?) if I survive the dentist this afternoon planning: If we attack a main objective, let's first glance at the map and plan where to attack from and where to put the MHQ and what kind of equipment we should bring (Weapons&Vehicles) Roles: Leader - He's the one that keeps the team together and coordinates the attack. (A leader doesn't fly! or drives tanks!) Artillery Support - obviously he does support the attack with some arty and in case if there's a harrier pilot for the attack also brings the laser target equipment. Engineer - He airlifts the vehicles/Wrecks in and out of battles, if needed is part of a tank crew (driver or gunner). Medic - Needs no explanation I guess Grunt - takes the gear that fits the job he has to complete. anything to add? HunterICX

The problem with domination is that we can teleport in instead of having to ride/fly in as for example in evolution which tends to bunch people together.
But yeh, sounds good. I can take the medic's position as that's what I've been playing lately. Can also act as MHQ defence during the insertion, lay out claymores to the flanks to prevent the baddies from surprising us. Ammo and weapons we can get from the MHQ's ammo box, same stuff as in base, just in smaller quantities. And lastly, to make sure everyone knows this, you can go to the action menu->show status->settings and fiddle around with the player marker setting to make friendlies visible on the map. |

Sounds good, though I'm torn between artillery and sniper.
Usually carry 2 satchels, 1 smoke, 6 mags and laser. Or grab a radio, drop the laser and take a frag instead of battery. M110 SD by default. I much prefer the first though, other one is too heavy. * for the record, the SSC guys are pretty organized; it's "teh others" that get scattered so much.

Not sure what role I'd play, I can CAS if needed but otherwise, probably transport and Grunt work. I'll see what needs doing and do it.
Good work on repairing the base Arc, did you manage to fix the hangars? It might be worth moving the A-10 and Harrier out of the hangars to a new respawn point because if the hangars get destroyed and they can't be rebuilt then it makes it nigh on impossible to get the A-10 out without resorting to ramming it out with a tank and possibility blowing yourself up in the process. If you can fix the hangars, could someone tell me how so I can do so. |

Nope can only fix the support buildings. Probably should make some changes to the spawns, yes, among a few other things.
