I prefer the nautical version. "I don’t think" and " It’s more probable" sounds to me like he's guessing, but his answer does sounds lot more intriguing than "Yes it's true".

Oh, I agree, it could well be true. I just take most of these with a grain of salt after learning the truth about "freezing the balls off a brass monkey."
