Default Documentation

Don't worry, found it

When I downloaded the tonnage mod with terain add in from filefront it came with no documentation and I think just the add in I thought it was the full version including the add in so I just downloaded the full version from rapid share which has all the necessary documentation.

Cheers

Erm, what about map contacts?
I asked wether this is a bug or wether tonnage war really removes all radio reports on convoys from the map??

Default Map Contacts

First I'd like to say great mod, very well done.

Just one thing

Continuing on to what Ant eater has said

What about the ship contact/icons on the Nav map that we had in RUB and IUB I know it is cheating but it is usfull for navigating around ships in harbour ect.. is there anyway to have this option while using this new MOD.

Cheers

Ok, I guess I'm a dolt. I don't see this on page 15. It just makes mention of what should be unchecked in sh3 commander. I did read it beforehand too. I went ahead and used standard sh3 so I don't know if that is right or not. Does it matter?
Unchecked simply means you shouldn't use any of the SH3 Commander fatigue models and the option should be unchecked as an option in SH3 Commander. The necessary fatigue model and other components are included in the TW basic.cfg and other files.

Just to expand on this a bit more. SH3 Commander uses several pre-configured files to selectively replace entries in the basic.cfg. When the "Use fatigue model" option is checked, you will replace the entries in the TW basic.cfg and the fatigue model will not work as intended. That is why this option in SH3 Commander must be unchecked. You shouldn't be using this feature of SH3 Commander with TW. It's not necessary, and can result in unexpected behavior.

Hope this helps.
You're missing my question entirely because most likely I am not explaining it right. Start sh3 commander and go to setup a new career. You are given a drop down box where you must select from 3 options for Use Crew: Standard SH3, data, or Realistic. There is no checkbox involved here (other than to randomize the names). This is not in the SH3 options where you are choosing fatigue model or anything like that, it is on the setup a new SH3 career. Which should it be? From the nygm manual, it looked as though it changed the starting crew members so I'm guessing this option may make a difference.

Anyways, great mod! I took a quick tour through the kiel canal. Beautiful! I really dig the fatigue/morale system too.
With sub commander running go to sh3 options bottom panel, then go to game play you will see a box to check for use fatigue model
LOL, this is getting funny. I know where the options are for the fatigue model. I read the NYGM manual and setup the sh3 commander options it makes mention of. What I'm asking is very simple and I don't see it in the NYGM manual where it references sh3 commander:

1. start sh3 commander
2. click to setup a new career on the menu on the left if not already there
3. put a name in or get random one, put year/month, flotilla, uboat type/no in
4. now here is what I'm asking about. Lastly you have "Use Crew:" followed by a drop down box. Within the drop down box your options are Standard sh3, data, and realistic. You are forced to pick one of them.

Now please very simply, which one of those should be selected? Standard sh3, data, or realistic? I'll go out on a limb and ask what do these 3 settings do and what is their effect on NYGM?

Perhaps this settings makes no difference at all and that is why there is confusion because I am asking about somthing that is inconsequential. If that is the case, please help me out here.

I understand exactly what you're asking and am also waiting to see what the answer is. I currently use "realistic" and wonder if the NYGM chnages will have any effect on this selection.

I don't get "data" as an option, any idea what mod put that in?

Alright, I admit it. I occasionally want to go out and mess around in the North Atlantic using my No Map Updates aka "Gods-eye mode." I also use it for practice. It appears the tonnage mod disables this feature. Can someone tell me how to get it back?

I read the brief snippit in the user manual about it having to be turned off to use the "Assisted Plotting Mod" (which I didn't even know existed). I just want the option.

If anyone does know how to do it a PM will do so I don't clutter up this thread with my silly request.

EDIT: Actually I kinda like it. It's less of a "cheat" now. I don't feel as guilty using it as I did before

AHAHHHH! Finally someone that understands. I'm starting to think I'm not crazy

I did a total reinstall of SH3 and only applied the new NYGM tonnage, NYGM terrain add-in, and the advanced plotting tools from NYGM. That's it. So it's all NYGM mods. I have the latest sh3 commander. So I don't know where data came from either.

I haven't installed the NYGM mod yet, in the middle of a patrol, but I have it downloaded and have read the manual. Looks like NYGM has added the "data" option. WOnder ehat it means?

Ok Samwolf, that leads me to believe selecting data is right. Can a NYGM modder confirm this?

Just one stupid question before getting the MOD into working on my machine: does it affect in any way the Hollywood Advanced RUB mod ? I like the way it handles the U Boot`s damage...

Thanks in advance.

Is there a specific reason that the "Adjust Water Density" option in SH3 Commander has to be unchecked? when using the NYGM mod?

that is strange...his original release of NYGM crew fatigue had a seperate folder from the mod specificaly for sh3 Commander...maybe he forgot to include it in the tonage mod...

I included the NYGM crew fatigue model in my crew fatigue pack that you can download here:
http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopi...hlight=#453928

As you can see the NYGM CMM is the last preset you can select as an option in this pack. Why he doesn't have it in tonage mod or in the same format as before is a good question. :hmm:

Guys,
The SH3 Cmdr questions need to be answered by Observer

"does it affect in any way the Hollywood Advanced RUB mod " ... We have included the Hollywood Submarine Damage Mod as part of the NYGM Tonnage War Mod.

This program by Stiebler (NYGM Team Member) applies the Real Battery Life Fix v1 by VonHelsching now known as the The Advanced NASA Battery Fix, to the NYGM Tonnage War Mod Ver 1.03
