I have a feeling this might be what finally gets him out of office. It'll be interesting to see how much play this gets when he's up for reelection in 2016.

If the rumor mill is in fact correct on solar farms, China and the turtle refuge as cover then we can say without a doubt those in DC are self-serving and care very little about anyone but themselves. Harry needs to go. Take Pelosi with him.

How about at the border?

Bundy is not right. He needs to pay his bill and move his cattle elsewhere. He has also forced additional tax payer dollars to be spent (courts or armed response) for his misgivings of not paying his bill. Shirking ones financial obligation is never right no matter how you cut it.
I heard a lengthy phone interview with Bundy and the second he said "he didn't recognize the feds" , my kook alarm went off.

Agree 100%, I don't like the fack that our police are behaving more and more like some sort of special ops/storm trooper unit.

Militia appeared after the fact from what I understand. As well as others who had nothing better to do with their high powered rifles for the day. And yeah, Harry Reid was talking kids a shields and domestic terrorists. Harry Reid is covering his own misguided hide.
He quoted that idiot Mack from the Oathkeepers.

I am sure you can find "sheriff" Mack making the statement easily enough, it was in his interview for Fox news.

What border? the United States doesn't exist apparently.
Perhaps they should deport Bundy as he clearly cannot be a citizen of the US if the US doesn't exist.

At the government's insistence.
Whose insistence?
The family voluntarily started grazing the government land in the 1950s, no one insisted they do it.
Perhaps the government insisted on management? Or was it actually the ranchers that insisted on government regulation when overgrazing led to severe problems for them and their livelihood in the 1870s and again in the 1920s?

Armed population means armed police. Heavily armed population means heavily armed police.
Its just the way it works.

I think you have something there.
Car thieves should declare to the media that they are all going to gather together at a certain time and place then the police can allocate sufficient resources to the site at that time.

If Bundy claims that the US doesn't exist or can be recognised, then he can hold no rights as a US citizen. He can't have it both ways.

I liked this summary, myself:

http://www.patrickstomlinson.com/201...conservatives/

Quote:
Whatever else they may be, the last thing you should think of these vandals and provocateurs as is Conservative, even if that’s the label they falsely wrap themselves in. Real Conservatives respect the rule of law, or at least they used to. Real Conservatives believe in both individual freedom and personal responsibility. And real Conservatives concern themselves with matters of fiscal responsibility.

[...]

As a conservative, I am ashamed at the way the rightwing has embraced this deadbeat, and as a gun owner, I am appalled at the lengths they have gone to support his continued fight to avoid compensating the American taxpayer for what he’s stolen. Responsible gun owners, like myself, use their weapons for sport, sustenance, and self-defense. They do NOT go looking for fights with law enforcement officers, and they most certainly do not use their weapons to defend a proven law-breaker and deadbeat from the consequences of his own misdeeds.

It's called midagaition, from my understanding, they weren't going to use the 600,000 acres next to Bundys ranch for the solar farm but for a enviromental impact zone so they could develope elsewhere, that kinda property is like gold, even the Bundy ranch could be worth alot. There is still more at play here, I'm more bent out of shape with the alphabet soup government agency that hasless authority than a park ranger,, carrying an assult weapon with a 30 round clip, setting up free speech zones, assulting protesters, threating to shoot protesters, and altamitly shooting a young unarmed man to death a couple of weeks ago because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time,,grubby Harry in the last day or so called Mr. Bundy and anyboby who supports him domestic terrorist, just setting the stage for violence. So who are you going to trust, a government that spies on you,, a government that uses alphabet soup agencies to abuse you,, a government that lies to you,, if you like your freedom ,, you can keep your freedom.. that's what is at stake,, by the way have you seen beef prices.

No matter what one thinks of Bundy, or the federales, the actions by Harry Reid are as asinine as the man is corrupt, and that's saying a lot when one looks at the history of the Sap From Searchlight who began virtually penniless in DC , and is now a multi-millionaire many times over as a portion of decades of seedy deals concocted with Vegas bigshots all joined at the hip with east coast wiseguys. Instead of simply allowing Bundy to vent and make a lousier case for himself and his ''cause'', Reid stupidly and publically refers to all of the Americans who showed up at Bundys ranch who committed no crime as ''domestic terrorists'' right on the heels of a real one gunning down three people at a Jewish center which passed without Dirty Harrys comment.
The best that can be said of this fiasco is a plague on both your houses. This idiot is supposed to be the Senate Majority Leader. In line for the presidency of this nation were a catastrophic event to occur. Such a condition creates more worries on just who is running this government, and fewer where a singular rancher in a corner of Nevada is concerned.
