Great stat Task Force. Hang on !

Kiel, I'm not sure to go to Malta because I'm very impatient to go in the Atlantic.
I see in my periscope a small piece of cheese and it gives me the appetite !

Kapitanleutnant meduza, commanding U-525 (IXC/40), 2nd Flotilla. Currently on 21th patrol, last reported position BE81, Jan 1st 1943 (Happy New Year! ).

Tonnage: 1,315,000 t

I'm preparing my second attack on a large convoy. On my first attempt I sank 45,000t Big Liner , and 7,500t Liberty cargo. Depthcharged for an hour by 4 DDs, managed to escape with minor damage.

It will probably be my best patrol so far, I already sunk 75,000t and still have 13 eels.

If the results like this could be achieved in RL, war would be over by Christmas. :rotfl:

April 1941, this guy sank 1,000,000 tons of ships, so next patrol if hes dead doesnt care because im sure allies are sending spies and snipers and tanks to take him down :p

Task force to all Subsim members at sea....

Right now im out of a big fat convoys view, There are some realy big ships (one for 19,XXX tons), not realy escorted good. Going to wait for my crew to bring that spare external torpedo in. Only issue is that the water isnt to deep off Iceland.

Welcome to the reality we all envisaged during our learning curve experiences :rotfl:

WOO HOO, didnt report back, anouther convoy I attacked after thatone almost brought me to a watery grave, Thank god the water was only 120 meters deep and I could rest on the bottom for repairs.

Well I sunk That liner, and anouther liner in this convoy. There was also one of those converted whaleing tankers in it. Sunk the three for a total of 3x,xxx tons. Early 1941 and Im almost at 600,000 tons. Gota sink more to make my 1945 2,000,000 ton goal.

MESSAGE BEGINS
---------------------
Obltn. z. S. Josef Schutz, 1st Frontflotille - Kiel, reporting in. My stalwart crew of U-47, "Poseidon's Wrath", has just completed our 12th patrol, February 28, 1941. Everyone is off for some well earned shore leave.

The hunting is getting tougher out there. Convoys are being protected by a greater number of escorts and some new destroyers are using side-launched depth charges in addition to the usual rear-drop racks. It makes it far more likely you'll be hit when you have six depth charges dropped in a wide horseshoe pattern. ASDIC is getting to be more precise as well.

Merchants are almost always heavily armed these days. Battling it out with the deck gun to sink a merchant will leave you with some significant damage if you're not careful in choosing your range and target.

The winter storms of the north Atlantic has made an even worse impact on our tonnage totals. These last two patrols tallied less than 20k tonnes. Our eels can't hit their targets with the way the oceans have been heaving and the constant storms makes visual spotting and the periscope nearly useless.

Hopefully, the next patrol will be more successful. We have a long layover for a major refit and repairs of my trusty Type VIIB (Installing GWX 2.1 and overhauling my mods).

Career Stats:
Total tonnage: 305,447 (40 Merchants -250,517 / 6 Warships - 54,930)

Highest medal awarded: Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds.
Given for the sinking of battleship "HMS Royal Oak" and cruiser "HMS California".

Crew Lost: 0

Regards,
Obltn. z. S. Josef Schutz
Commandant, U-47

END MESSAGE
