Torpedo firing button. I dont remember reading this in the manual as a new feature but, last night I was playing a single mission from the GWX, Operation Drumbeat. I came across a small merchant, it was dark so I decided on a surface attack, when I got in range I tried firing a torpedo using the uzo and clicked on the fire button, but nothing happened. The door was open but nothing came out, so I had to yell down to the control room and ask the 1WO to fire, and then it came out. Is this part of a sabatage mod or is it a new feature. Thanks

:rotfl: no really! I'm fine! Only minor issues as said and FYI after removing the 16km atmosphere, the horizon is just perfect now. Thanks! Also at my preferable resolution 1280x1024 btw.

Now I must go back to the Shetlands... that Pyro attack by night was perhaps not such good an idea. Trying to get away from his apparently angry friends now...

Happy Christmas and thanks for the wonderful gift!

No, infact I wish you could hear the new sound of the Deck Gun, there is a cool echo.

My question is, would HEAD mods cause GWX to CTD just before Intializing screen. It happens about 65% through the Map Screen.

Ignore my previous post, I figured that out.

I do have another problem--I neglected to run through the training missions. I could just do them, but I'm sure that to get my 1000 extra prestige, there's just a file somewhere I need to edit. Where is that file, and what do I have to do to convince the game I passed all the exams? I'm just looking for a shortcut, as I don't feel like going through the missions again.

Lerwick, Shetland Islands: buildings in the harbor

The entire city of Lerwick, in the Shetland Islands, seems to be a couple of hundred meters too far east. Many of the buildings are in the bay, including some smokestacks. Looks funny to see smoke coming out of the water.

I've got pictures, but no web presence to make them available here.

Check out the Picasa web album http://picasaweb.google.com/Sleazey/SH3GWX

Anybody know which bin this is located in or do I have io delete and redownload all?
Also tried MD5Compare but I dont know how to run it.
Compare to "What"?

Any help greatly appreciated.
Ok D\L this file

http://files.filefront.com/GWXmd5/;6354946;;/fileinfo.html
Put in the same folder as all your GWX files ( bins and exe )

Run the MD5 exe
When the program opens - click the centre tab " Compare from MD5 file "

Press " Select MD5 file " and browse to the one you have just D\L

And the program will run - if all parts are ok they will have a green tick next to them
If a part is corrup it will have a red cross
Dont you have to create an MD5 file before you can compare?

Default CTD

First and only issue, but big and annoying one--I got a CTD when in the navmap view. I read at least one or two other people who experienced the same while in the navmap. I loaded a save in a patrol when I was hunting a small convoy off the coast of North Africa. The game has run flawlessly up until this point. I played my saved career game for quite a while (number of hours), then out of the blue right after I go to the navmap, get the ruler and zoom in to plot target track, I get a BSOD followed by a CTD (SHIII encountered problem and needs to close, bla bla bla).

Here's my specs:

-SH3Cmdr 2.7 with xtra files
-JSGME w/Das Boot clothes, CaptA Icons, 6 dials Simfeeling+TDC Slideout, Vanilla
Uboot skin, custom sounds.
-clean SH3 1.4b with GWX

Athlon 3200
1 GB ram
Geforce 6600
Onboard sound

Is this a recurring problem and does anybody know the cause?

Thanks!

I'm liking GWX a lot..only just started a new campaign so haven't really had a chance to bash it out fully yet, but I did spot one small oversight in the museum. There's a Japanese Arado in the German aircraft folder.

Easy to fix of course. I just took the
'LBSArado_Jap.cfg' file from 'data\Roster\German\Air' and placed it in the 'data\Roster\Japan\Air' folder.

I also wanted to ask about the Canadian Fuji class. As far as I'm aware, Canadas only Fuji class during WW2 was HMCS Uganda which had the 3x main gun arrangement with AA defense replacing turret #3. I was greatly pleased to see that this arrangement was correctly adhered to in the previous GW version but GWX seems to have gone back to the inaccurate 4-gun turret model for Canadas Fuji.

That aside, I'm very much in love with GWX and I understand you guys put in a great many hours and sleepless nights putting the package together...I hate myself for bringing up these minor details, but thought I should perhaps mention it in case it had slipped anyone elses attention.

Agrippa, if you start a career without running the Naval Academy Training you still 1500 for renoun when you start your career.

From what I've seen in doing the Training you only get 1500 anyway. I had excellent in all the Training missions when I finished in another career without GWX, and still only got 1500.

I'm going to install Anvart's HaloNotVisibleThroughBody mod and see what happens. I've checked and it's not in GWX. Should work ok as it's just a s simple 2 file Body 01 and 2 dat mod.
