Still trying to get when and how I got it . Tested positive on a auto-test, a antigen rapidtest, Saturday morning. Since Friday I was felling funny, sore throat and a few nasal symptoms, but thought that was from my sinusitis and catching cold the night before and no fever during all day.

Next morning, was the same and...hmmm let's see if. Bingo!

Only had fever saturday, 38º C. max. Now it's like a cold, with a few dry coughs.

Done the PCR test today, since it is required and of course it come back positive.
Speedy recovery matey

Covid-19 infections in the UK may be beginning to level off, the latest weekly Office for National Statistics figures suggest.

Last week a further 2,714 people who died within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test in England were added to official figures retrospectively, due to a data processing error.

In total about 170,000 people have died in the UK since the outbreak of the virus.

The number of hospital patients with coronavirus is also stabilising and levels remain well below those seen in previous waves of the pandemic.

A Covid vaccination programme has so far reached nine in 10 people aged 12 and over with a first dose.

Quote:
The prevalence of symptoms that characterise an omicron infection differs from those of the delta SARS-CoV-2 variant, apparently with less involvement of the lower respiratory tract and reduced probability of hospital admission. Our data indicate a shorter period of illness and potentially of infectiousness which should impact work–health policies and public health advice.
The duration of current symptoms in dually vaccinated subjects averaged:
8.3 days for Omikron and
9.6 days for Delta.
Here, the differences were less pronounced.

The duration of acute symptoms in triple vaccinated persons was on average:
4.4 days for Omikron and
7.7 days for Delta.
Thus, the difference in symptom duration was particularly evident in the triple vaccinated. Triple vaccinated individuals thus overcome delta symptoms about two days faster than double vaccinated individuals. According to the study, symptoms of an omicron infection disappeared almost four days earlier after booster vaccination.

Meta analysis on the risk of myocarditis.

https://www.thelancet.com/journals/l...seccestitle140

Quote:
In conclusion, this meta-analysis of more than 400 million doses of vaccines suggests that the overall incidence of myopericarditis following COVID-19 vaccination is similar to that in the published literature on its incidence after influenza vaccination, and is lower than the incidence after live smallpox vaccination. The incidence of myopericarditis in younger males after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination is higher than expected by comparison with other age groups.

The Queen has revealed Covid left her "very tired and exhausted" after she caught the virus earlier this year.

The monarch, 95, was taking part in a virtual hospital visit when she described her experience to a former virus patient, whose father and brother had died with the illness.

The call to the Royal London Hospital last week marked the official opening of its Queen Elizabeth Unit.
