That was more than a distraction, it was Trump blaming the parents of fallen soldiers. That should be enough to disqualify him as a candidate for most people that haven't drank his cult Kool-Aid.

Policy, I don't have a response yet.

Oh I understood what you meant. Que sera, sera let the chips fall where they may. Feeling helpless & not in control of anything will do that to people.

Those seven wounded soldiers in Iraq appreciate your concern I’m sure.

I'm not interested in Trump's legal problems. He is not going to win anyway.

Harris policy response is not workable.

Fair enough. Now Trump and MAGA are making one more attempt to shut down the government. It will hit the news cycle soon.

Then there was Trump stating the six week abortion ban on the Florida ballot was too short when be asked how he would vote a few days ago, then flipped and said he will vote for it when his fundy Christian base were outraged.

I don’t care what his stated policies are either since it all just depends which way the breeze is blowing at the moment.

.

I’m sure it will. Both parties in Congress will manipulate the headlines to further the goals of their respective party and I’ll bet you dollars to donuts whatever the outcome it will include unprecedented spending that you and I end up paying out the nose for and that needs to stop.

I’m a registered independent voter and I’m not even close to being a Christian in fact a Christian would likely describe me as heathen . But like Trump I’m a resident of Florida and I will be voting against amendment four. SCOTUS left the abortion debate and vote to the states. What do the decisions made by voters in Florida matter to you and others who live in California? Personally I appreciate the miracle of life growing in the womb just as much as I appreciate the dead decaying in a box in Arlington National Cemetery.

Holy ****e, that's the pot calling the kettle black. Harris transformed herself from a lefty loon to a Trump overnight because the wind blew her that way. And here puppeteers instructed her to do so. That my friend is just hilarious.

Makes one wonder, what the Dem supporters will say in 1˝ years from now when their candidate have won the election on Nov. 5th -24

Would they be regretting their vote ?

If you have been following the debate here in our US Politics thread you would know that there's not much hope for Harris to save the country.

If we going back 1 year, there were many, don't know in percentage, who had regret they put their vote on Biden.

With this in mind I wrote my comment.

Its really not very surprising; Trump is so very tone-deaf to the world around him; he lacks any real ability to 'read a room' effectively; as long as he feels his little self-delusional "Me World" is, in his estimation, intact, he blithely skips along his little path of delirium...

Trump is an unsympathetic slug when it come to our veterans and their sacrifices; let's do a sampling of a previous hallowed Veteran occasion, Memorial Day, November 2024...

First, Former President Obama's 2024 Memorial Day message...

https://x.com/BarackObama/status/1795088933556011101

Quote:

One of the greatest honors of my life was the privilege of serving as commander-in-chief, and with pride also came sometimes heartbreak and loss. And the sober recognition of the sacrifices that so many Americans and their families have made to preserve our freedom.

On Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We owe them so much, and their memories will never be forgotten.

Next, President Biden's 2024 Memorial Day message...

https://x.com/JoeBiden/status/1795085103791575504

Quote:

On Memorial Day, we honor the fallen heroes who served and sacrificed for our freedom and for our future.

We must never forget the price that was paid to protect our democracy.

...and, now the poignant words of Trump on Memorial Day 2024...

Quote:

"Happy Memorial Day to All, including the Human Scum that is working so hard to destroy our Once Great Country, & to the Radical Left, Trump Hating Federal Judge in New York that presided over, get this, TWO separate trials, that awarded a woman, who I never met before (a quick handshake at a celebrity event, 25 years ago, doesn't count!), 91 MILLION DOLLARS for 'DEFAMATION,'" Trump wrote in the post.

"She didn't know when the so-called event took place - sometime in the 1990's - never filed a police report, didn't have to produce the 'dress' that she threatened me with (it showed negative!), & sung my praises in the first half of her CNN Interview with Alison Cooper, but changed her tune in the second half - Gee, I wonder why (UNDER APPEAL!)?

"The Rape charge was dropped by a jury! Or Arthur Engoron, the N.Y. State Wacko Judge who fined me almost 500 Million Dollars (UNDER APPEAL) for DOING NOTHING WRONG, used a Statute that has never been used before, gave me NO JURY, Mar-a-Lago at $18,000,000 - Now for Merchan!"

Wow, just...wow...

Two of the three men above acted Presidential and dignified, giving respect and homage to the sacrifices of the fallen; they are to be commended...

The third, the low life slug that he is, resorted to his usual self-serving vomiting of bile, rather than giving even the merest mention of the fallen, for whom the day is dedicated; and what sort of idiot fool marks a somber day as "Happy"?; I wonder if he sent out a message saying "Happy Good Friday!"...

BTW, this is a link to the site where I got the Trump Quote; it seems his original post(s) are nowhere to be found; I imagine his handlers did a thorough wipe-up of the trace of their boss's idiocy...

Donald Trump's Memorial Day Message Compared to Joe Biden's --

https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trum...ssages-1904984

I chose the Newsweek posting since it was one of the few sites that had the complete Trump disgraceful tirade; other sites only posted portions of the message...

I don't think there is any possible way to claim, let alone prove, that Trump ever has, or ever will have compassion and humanity towards our troops and their services and sacrifices; any veteran who would vote for such a person should be ashamed...

Btw back in the day Skybird used to write such wordy responses too. It took up most the bandwidth on the World Wide Web consuming so much power it dimmed city lights around the world when he posted.

But some mentioned to him then he should probably shorten it up a bit. Simple fact most people admitted they would just skip over it without even trying to read any of it.

How cute! You Posted a selfie!! I'm going to assume your cat is the brains of your outfit...

Oh, I assure you, I am tinfoil free, although you seem to be a devotee of the Reynolds Wrap...

What you said in the above bit pretty much confirms a theory I've held about you for a long time; You don't really read the links in the postings of others in the thread, particularly if they oppose your view; I did, indeed post factual links; please tell me which links were anonymous sources (ya, know like the Dept. of the army; the Arlington Nation Cemetery regulations site) since I'm really not seeing it; myself, and some others, do post attributable links and data, but you seem to not even bother to take even a cursory glace at the postings since you are so eager to engage in mindlessly snarky comments on something you really haven't considered; an informed comment is always welcome; a comment based on kneejerk reaction to the subject of a link or, worse yet, to your unwarrantedly low estimation of the character of a fellow poster, who is just trying to give a sincere, and fact-based, opinion, is not welcome at all; you may think you are amusing, but you are little more than boorish, although you may have an audience among your fellow bobble-heads...

...and I have nothing to apologize for, certainly not to you; it is not my fault you find 'sifting through and piecing together' polysyllabic words a chore...

Your invoking of Skybird is telling; you seem to have an aversion to anyone who can explain anything beyond slogans and frat-boy humor; I may not agree with Skybird on some things, but I do appreciate he does try to thoroughly explain his position and tries to use some verifiable information in the process; its too bad you have this fear of anything involving complex thought...

BTW, I would advise you turn your tinfoil so the shiny side is on the outside; it will reflect the heat away from your fevered brain...

Oh, my...

It seems I've gotten a bit too "wordy" again, so I'll be succinct:

You, Sir...

...Suck...

Some poster have asked for the law on which the whole Trump dissing of Arlington National Cemetery controversy was based; the ANC Rules and Regs have already been posted by myself and others, available for those who want to read them; the actual laws Trump and his minions have violated can be found here:

32 CFR Part 553 - PART 553—ARMY CEMETERIES --

https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/32/part-553

The actual, most pertinent, part of the law is this:

32 CFR § 553.32 - Conduct of memorial services and ceremonies. --

https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/32/553.32

The subsection most applicable is this:

Quote:

(c) Memorial services and ceremonies at Army National Military Cemeteries will not include partisan political activities.

Pretty plain, to me; not much ambiguity there...

Additionally, there exists violations of the Hatch Act regarding such political conduct in the behavior of the Trump mob...

Now, there have been postings stating the Trump desecration was not 'political' because there was no outward sign of campaigning such as signs, banners, etc.; however, the ANC Regs and the actual law(s) (of which Trump and his minions were fully advised, in writing and orally, prior to the ceremony) cited prohibits any sort of political activity at all in Arlington; Trump and his minions were openly seeking to film and photograph the occasion, not as a memorialization of the event, but as a means to gather footage for Trump's campaign propaganda; the proof is in the postings by Trump and his campaign on the Web, including one painful to watch clip where Trump is following around the mourners, who are trying to attend to their dead, all the while spouting on about how things were much better under his regime and how much "better" he is than the opposition; a decent person would have have let the mourners have their moments with their loved ones and simply given his sympathies and bowed their head in respect; but, what else can you expect from a self-serving oaf like DJT...?...

BTW, the defense that Trump was in the right because a couple of the families invited him to the occasion doesn't hold water; the wishes of the families does not supersede the Laws and Rules & Regs. since even they must abide by the protocols put in place...
