was trying to optimize in addition to adding the screenshot ability and it backfired

This removes the optimizations and takes it back to stable version with addition of screenshot ability. Let me know how you like the screenshot ability.

Here's how it works (or should be working):

Pressing any gradient's save button will save the gradient shown in that gradient box to a file.

yes TDW , I have understand all these (i have allready created my first version for map colors ) . i think that you didn't understand what i told you so look at the following pic .

ps: your last version ( 0.17) works perfect for me (haven't notice any issue)

ah yes I noticed that when testing starting in v0.0.15. It should be fixed in v0.0.17. Let me know if it isn't

I didn't get the 'problem' to reproduce until I entered an invalid value. Fixing now

Going to add something also:
at app start it asks if you want to use the game file or not. If you opt not to I'm going to have it ask you if you want to specify a gradient to use (select one from a GUI) or let it use the default gradient (current behavior)

v0.0.18:

when I click on a recently saved gradientx.tga [not .act file !] windows explorer crashes immediately. It's impossible to get access to that file and I've to delete it via cmd.exe... but explorer doesn't work properly anymore.
I've to reboot...

You open explorer to view files and you navigate to where you recently saved the gradientx.tga file. You double click it via mouse thus asking explorer to open it up using the default program associated with tga files correct? And when doing so it crashes? It's quite possible this can happen with some image editors because the tga is a very strange size and bit depth (width 256, height 1, bit depth of 24bpp). Try right clicking the file and selecting open with and using another image editor (I use photoshop and it has no problems with the saved tgas).

Nothing to do with associated prog.
When single clicking [right or left] the file WE immediately crashes.

Hard to get access to it since WE crashes when I try.

Will try to pack it by WinRAR.

After I saved gradient.tga to a different folder the crashes also happen with the .tga files inside SHMapViewer_0_0_18_by_TheDarkWraith folder although they haven't been changed [checksum].
Since WE doesn't work properly after the crash [freeze] I'm forced to reboot the system.

That all seems to me like parts of WE are kicked out of memory whilst saving the tga...

I can open the file with Photoshop and can use Explorer to open it up (double clicking it - Win7 Ultimate 64bit). I can also open it up with the app with no problems
